A Roaring Success: Providence Academy in Leesburg, VA Presents The Lion King Jr.!
The Pride Lands came to life in Leesburg, VA on March 6 and 7. Providence Academy in Leesburg, VA proudly presented Disney’s The Lion King Jr. musical to a sold-out crowd. From the first notes of the “Circle of Life,” our students captivated every person in the room.

Building a Stronger Community
Beyond the music, this production served as an incredible community-building experience. Consequently, students from different grade levels formed deep, lasting bonds. One student noted that they “made friends in other grades they normally wouldn’t have.” In addition, the cast learned the value of working toward a singular, beautiful goal. This sense of unity truly defined the weekend.
Broadway Talent in Leesburg
Our brilliant Music Teacher, Briana Nei, headed up the entire event. Mrs. Nei is well-acquainted with professional theater and high-level production. Because of her expertise, the quality of the show surpassed all expectations. Many attendees remarked, “It’s hard to believe we were in Leesburg, Virginia, and not on Broadway in New York.” Our students blew the audience away with their discipline and talent.

Remembering Whose We Are
Furthermore, the story of Simba offers a significant tie to our walk with Christ. In the film, Simba journeys to discover his true identity. He hears the famous call: “Remember who you are.” Similarly, we are called to know not only who we are, but also whose we are.
As a result of this truth, we should live with confidence. We must remember our royal identity in Christ. Moreover, we are called to extend grace and forgiveness to those around us. This allows us to live as true heirs of an eternal and glorious Kingdom.

Looking Ahead
We are so proud of every student and volunteer. Ultimately, this performance proved that our community is capable of greatness. We look forward to many more standing ovations at Providence Academy!

The success of The Lion King Jr. is a testament to the hard work, talent, and dedication of our students, faculty, and parent volunteers. It is a reminder of the power of art to inspire, to connect, and to transform lives. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved in this production, and we look forward to future theatrical endeavors at Providence Academy!
