Teaching To The Whole Child

At Providence Academy we recognize the inherent dignity and worth of each person as created in God’s image for God’s glory and His good purposes. Based on the multifaceted aspects of God’s design of humans, we partner with parents to develop students spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, and physically.

As part of our approach to educating the whole child, every child starts his/her day in an intentional time with classmates which builds biblical identity, belonging, and community. In the Early Childhood and Lower School this is called Morning Meeting and in the Middle School it is called Advisory.

These morning gatherings build strong positive relationships among students, establish and support expectations for a positive and Christ-centered learning community, support academic readiness and goal-setting, develop communication and social skills, and start the the day with purpose and a spiritual focus.
