Cultivating Creativity in Our JK-8 Students

Artistic expression plays a vital role in our student development at Providence Academy. Through our Providence Academy fine arts program, Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade students explore creative expression daily. Most importantly, children learn to communicate their unique thoughts and feelings through various artistic mediums.

Every student possesses unique gifts given directly by our Creator. Consequently, our art classes encourage students to discover and refine those talents. Whether painting with watercolors or sculpting with clay, students learn that their creativity reflects God’s image.

Connecting Fine Arts to Biblical Truth

Scripture reminds us of God’s unmatched design and creative nature. For example, Genesis 1:1 reveals that God created the heavens and the earth. Furthermore, Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are His unique workmanship. By creating art, students honor God while developing patience and artistic discipline.

Additionally, Exodus 35:31-32 describes how God fills artists with His Spirit for skillful design work. Therefore, our art curriculum connects hands-on techniques with spiritual growth. Ultimately, children learn that artistic talents can be used to glorify God and serve others.
