Beyond the Classroom: Middle School Missions Week at Providence Academy

Equipping Students to Serve Humbly in Love

At Providence Academy, a Christian Middle School in Leesburg VA, we believe that true excellence in education extends beyond the four walls of a classroom - Mission Trips. This year, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our Middle School Missions Week, a dedicated time for our 5th through 8th Grade students to pause their academic studies and put their faith into action.

Inspired by Galatians 5:13, "Serve one another humbly in love," this week is designed to shape students’ hearts, impact their character, and deepen their understanding of God’s calling in their lives.

A Purpose-Driven Experience for Every Grade

We have intentionally designed our school calendar to provide the flexibility for these life-changing experiences without compromising our commitment to uncompromising academic excellence.

  • 5th & 6th Grade: Local Impact Students serve our local community through age-appropriate projects, learning that they are "God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works" (Ephesians 2:10).

  • 7th Grade: Regional Restoration In partnership with Adventures in Missions, our 7th Grade Students travel to Black Mountain, North Carolina. There, they assist with hurricane relief efforts through carpentry and landscaping, serving as the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need.

  • 8th Grade: Global Perspective in Puerto Rico Our 8th Grade students embark on a transformative journey to Puerto Rico. Serving in the Cantera community, students focus on building meaningful relationships and sharing their faith while experiencing a new culture.
