Providence Academy Fire Alarm Update: Safety Procedures in Action
Morning Drop-Off False Alarm
During morning drop-off on our third day of school, a Providence Academy fire alarm activated on campus. Although this was not a drill, we are grateful to report that it was a false alarm. Most importantly, all students, faculty, and staff remained safe throughout the entire event.

Immediate Emergency Response Protocols
Our emergency procedures were activated immediately by our staff. Additionally, our faculty responded in an exemplary manner to guide everyone outside safely. Our students did a wonderful job listening and following directions. Parents driving onto campus also followed directions calmly, helping us maintain an orderly response.

Firefighters arrived on campus within minutes due to our convenient location. Consequently, emergency crews quickly confirmed that the building was safe for re-entry. Overall, the entire situation lasted approximately 40 minutes before normal schedules resumed.
System Inspection and Operational Status

Earlier this week, our fire alarm vendor conducted routine campus testing. During that service, technicians replaced one specific alarm unit. However, that same unit activated unexpectedly this morning without cause. The company was notified immediately and requested to return today to resolve the issue. Reassuringly, firefighters confirmed that the fire alarm system remains operational and will activate as intended if needed.
Preparedness and Gratitude
While this event created unexpected excitement, it demonstrated the true value of our regular safety drills. Furthermore, it highlighted the effective training of our dedicated faculty. Ultimately, we are deeply grateful for our calm team, cooperative families, and the Lord’s continued protection over our school community. God is good!
